Class 2 – Minor Puppy Dog (6 entries, 1 absentee)
1st. Page’s Winflash Harvey Wallbanger – 6 month old, black spotted dog. Nicely covered puppy, lightly marked. Best mover in this class which is what it came down to when making the placings. Well set ears, good length of correctly set tail. A very happy puppy. Best Puppy Dog.

1 Charlotte Page handling Winflash Spring Angel, this young lady is full of confidence, quietly performing all request manoeuvres which she did & they were totally flawless was very observant knowing at all times exactly where I was, never once shadowed her dog & gave the correct answer to the required question, she is a total joy to watch in total control at all times, very tidy young lady & beautifully turned out;
The two young handlers competing were Lauren Davis & Charlotte Page, what a hard task this was, both were very exceptional handlers, in tip-top form, performing to perfection, & it all came down to their knowledge of the points of the dog, I asked each lady in turn three questions, Lauren's knowledge winning her BJH.

PB.1 – Page’s Winflash Spring Angel Another that grew on me as the class progressed, neat fairly compact package with spotting well distributed, attractive head with very dark eyes and pigmentation, decent front, clean neck, depth to well sprung ribs which are carried well back to give firm loin, definition to stifles, tail set and carried well, once dog and young handler settled moved around the ring with easy flowing action. BPand with a little more practice this need not be the only one. |

PD(2) 1st & BP Page’s Winflash Harvey Wallbanger & 2nd Smith’s Dalminshi Starcluster. Both good examples of the breed. The winner is much more developed in body, topline & muscle tone. He shows more reach and drive when circling the ring and he is really well constructed and bodied. Nice head, decent muzzle (so many are almost ultra short) and in spanking coat. Regrettably he is somewhat light in decoration, but he is sound in limb and could work all day. The second is beautifully decorated (isn’t it always the way), of good size and well angulated both ends. At present he isn’t as co-ordinated on the move as Harvey and his topline is unsettled compared to the firmness of 1. He has good eyes and nicely spotted ears, amply weighted bone and he is well balanced in height/length ratios. JB(9) 1st Page’s Winflash Spring Angel won here on her head, eye and expression which were delightful. On the stack she has a good shape, is balanced, uses her neck well and her rump is well rounded. On the go around she held her shape best and was so even in stride pattern. |
